September is Local Foods Month which means it’s a great time to try one (or more!) of the over 1,000 local items we have in our store! Supporting local foods is important not only for helping our local economy, but also for having accountability and sustainability in our farming practices. Locally Delicious is great resource for all things related to local foods and they have put together a great guide to for the month’s events. With our help and theirs you’ll be a locavore in no time.
Our shoppers are a generous bunch and together we raised $1439.65 for the Breast and GYN health project. The Breast and GYN Health Project is a LOCAL cancer resource center that helps people with not only cancer, but cancer concerns! This year is their 20th Anniversary and all the services they provide are FREE.They don't do medical care there, but they have nurses, doctors and volunteers available to answer questions & explain things.
